It's Taurus Season again (Shout out to all my fellow Tauruses!) and this year I am turning 30!! On Wednesday, May 18th to be exact! Three Whole Decades of Life deserves to be celebrated and I would love to celebrate my big day with you!

Join me for an afternoon of beautiful musical performances by a woman with an even more beautiful spirit, who has been one of my greatest inspirations, Sister Omelika Kuumba!
Sister O, as we love to call her, is a Spelman Grad & Professor of African Dance at Spelman College. Aside from being the Founder & Lead Artist of Soaring High, She is also the Director of the Metro Atlanta African Dancers & Drummers and the Founder & CEO of Sistah With Nia, LLC & SWANia Music!

Blending elements of contemporary soul, house, neojazz, reggae, and West African rhythms, Soaring High is a perfect score for your day. An auditory adventure, this debut release of songs penned by Omelika Kuumba features smooth vocals, keyboard, bass guitar, drum set, percussion, djembe orchestra, trumpet, saxophone, flute, and violin and bring messages of affirmation, light, love, and power. After a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Malcolm X Festival returns to West End Park for two days on May 21-22!
Time: 12 pm - 8pm Price: Free Parking: It may be tough to find parking which is common for many festivals, but the link below has more info on designated parking areas.
